Lisa is an independent coach and facilitator, providing support for academics with career, leadership and publication goals.

Lisa has worked in academia for over 30 years as a professor, academic leader, researcher and coach and has a strong understanding of the challenges that come with building a successful academic career in a constantly changing environment.

Lisa is currently a part-time Professor of Management Learning at The University of Salford. Since 2024, she has also been the host of the podcast GirlProfs, which explores the stories of women navigating the leaky pipeline to professorship.

Lisa spent 20 years at the University of Liverpool, including a period serving as Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor Education. Here, she led institutional education strategies, helping the university navigate a period of intense change, alongside building a strong research reputation in management education. In 2024, she was named Inspirational Leader Of The Year at the University of Liverpool Staff Awards.

Lisa is a Fellow of the British Academy of Management and a past and current Vice Chair for Management Knowledge and Education. She established the Becoming An Education-Focused Professor programme, which has over 250 alumni. She is also a Fellow and Trustee of the Academy of Social Sciences.
